A New Viper, and All is Well With The World.

I’ve never been a HUGE fan of the Viper to be brutally honest. BUT I can agree that the world is THAT much beter a place because another V10 powered super-coupe exists. Ever since Fiat has taken over Chrysler, I’ve been curious to see if any Ferrari tech would some how leak it’s way down the corporate ladder. And while they share the same interior designers (apparently), this thing is all America. With a nicer interior. How could you hate that? Personally there’s something good about SRT keeping true to it’s own USA roots and not relying on it’s big Italian brother to help it with a go-fast car.

Viper, welcome back. I await seeing someone use you to write your name in rubber (go watch Top Gear if you don’t know what I’m talking about!).

The Big One: 12C vs 458. My Choice…

So thanks to a recent Top Gear, my burning automotive passion has been ignited once again on a completely irrelevant (to the normal car guy) yet interesting (to the normal car guy) question: If some magical-mystical force said you could only have ONE car, which would it be?

Awhile ago when all the info on the brand new McLaren came to light, I was tempted by the McLarens mind-blowing-ness. Now though, after sitting here and thinking about it for the past couple of weeks after the Top Gear review aired (and yes, I have no life apparently), is my opinion on the MP4-12C any different?

Long Live the Hatchback

I’m going to say something about the new Ferrari FF that not many of you will agree with. In fact I’m certain quite a great many people will not like what I’m about to say. Okay, here it goes: I actually LIKE the new Ferrari FF. Flamesuit on.

Ferrari Dino 308 GT4

You don’t see these everyday. I got to driv… park one. It’s a Ferrari 308 GT4, or as I know it (and hopefully you too), the car Richard Hammond bought in the “Top Gear Cheap Italian Supercar Challenge”. And also if you remember that episode, you’ll remember that Jeremy mocked Richard the whole time telling him it wasn’t a true Ferrari. Now I’ll leave that up to you to decide if you’re with Jeremy or Richard, I’ll just say that I feel I drove a Ferrari tonight. And GOD it feels good. I seriously want to just buy an old Ferrari and just drive around for a week, not to keep of course, just for the experience. It’s motoring in its purist form. I just love the smell of petrol that wafts throughout the cabin, it let’s you know you’re driving a car. Although I do admit that it’s not the prettiest Ferrari around, IMO it still has that Ferrari sense of passion and soul. Cool car, maybe not GOOD car, but cool.

Ferrari California

Spotted this black throughbread parked outside of poweredge this afternoon. I wasn’t sure about the styling of the California when I first saw it online. But like most cars, it’s a whole lot better in person. I like it!
